Scope and Contents

Athalia Kline was hired by Susquehanna University as a language teacher in 1944, and remained in that position until disabled by an automobile accident in 1961. For part of that time she also served as a faculty member in residence in "The Cottage," a small house used for female student housing in the 1950s. The collection consists largely of items of personal and professional significance to her from that time period, ranging from formal university correspondence documenting her salary and position to small personal mementoes and photographs.
